Teton River BAWA - Habitat for All Wildlife
January 29, 2021 by Chad Harvey
Acquired in February 2018, the Pheasants Forever Teton River Wildlife Area is located approximately 45 minutes north of Great Falls, Montana, along the Teton River watershed. Currently the property consists of approximately 279 acres of mixed riparian areas/wetlands, grass prairie and dryland crops. This area is home to upland game birds, migratory waterfowl, songbirds, and plentiful other wildlife.
Pheasants Forever recently worked with the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks to transfer wild turkeys onto the property in hopes of getting them established from an overpopulated site downriver.
In addition to this new resident, here are a few more fascinating wildlife sightings from the property captured by our staff in 2020!
